A grocery list your family can share
A shared list works best when it replaces the scattered texts, fridge notes, and screenshots everyone has been using. Give your household one place to add groceries, and one place to check what has already been picked up.

Start with one household list
Choose a name everyone recognizes, such as Weekly groceries. Ask each person to add things when they notice they are running low, rather than saving requests for the moment someone leaves for the store. Before shopping, check the fridge and cupboards against the list.
In Pepperjack, create a list and tap Invite. Send the invitation link through Messages or whichever app your family uses. Each person needs Pepperjack on an iPhone running iOS 18 or later and signs in with Apple or a phone number. Android is not currently supported.
Make each request easy to buy
Milk is a reminder; two cartons of oat milk, unsweetened is a shopping instruction. Add quantities and notes when size, brand, or dietary preferences matter. An item photo can help someone recognize the right package without another message from the aisle.
For example, a taco-night list might include eight tortillas, one can of black beans, two tomatoes, and the preferred salsa. Check what is already at home before adding the ingredients, and combine duplicate requests into one item with the right quantity.
Keep using the same list in the store
Check an item off when it goes into the cart. Connected family members see additions and check-offs on the shared list, which helps a partner avoid buying the same thing on a separate stop. If someone has no connection, allow the app to reconnect and sync before relying on its latest state.
Set recurring schedules for staples you buy regularly, then review them before each trip. A recurring item is a useful reminder, but the amount you need can change from week to week.
What you can share for free
Pepperjack's free plan includes two grocery lists, unlimited people on each list, quantities, notes, item photos, and syncing. Inviting someone does not require them to pay. The list owner's plan controls the list allowance.
Pepperjack Plus is optional. It adds unlimited lists and smart features, including predicted aisles and prices at supported stores. A household can use the free shared list without starting a Plus subscription.
