Pepperjack vs Bring!: Grocery List Apps Compared

Pepperjack helps answer two questions while you shop: where is it, and what might it cost? Plus adds predicted aisles and prices at supported US stores, on top of ad-free shared lists. Bring! focuses on visual lists and retailer offers. For an iPhone household looking for store-specific shopping help, choose Pepperjack. Supported-store predictions require Plus at participating Walmart, H-E-B, Kroger, and Meijer locations in the US; coverage varies and prices are estimates.

The Pepperjack difference

Store layouts versus store data

Bring! sorts items by category and lets you save a custom layout per store, so the list follows your route. Pepperjack Base includes category grouping that works the same way. At a supported store, Pepperjack Plus replaces the guesswork: each item is looked up at your specific location and tagged with its aisle, and the list sorts into store order. Bring! has no per-store aisle data, in the US or elsewhere.

Deals versus prices

Bring! surfaces retailer offers and stores loyalty cards, which is useful where those retailers are on the platform; coverage is deepest in Switzerland, Germany, and neighbouring markets. Pepperjack Plus does not show deals. It predicts a shelf price per item at supported US stores and totals the list, as a planning estimate.

Platforms, recipes, and icons

Bring! runs everywhere: iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Mac, Android, and a web app, with Siri and widgets. It has recipe discovery and imports ingredients to the list. Pepperjack runs on iPhone only (iOS 18 or later) and has no recipes. Pepperjack does render product icons on every row too, but Bring!'s icon-first design is the reason people choose it.

Pricing

Bring! is free with ads; Premium is $1.99 a month or $8.99 a year and removes ads, adds themes, and unlocks a few extras. Pepperjack has no ads on any plan; Base is $2.99 a month or $29.99 a year with unlimited shared lists, and Plus is $8.99 a month, $59.99 a year, or $199 once. Bring! Premium costs about what one month of Pepperjack Plus does; they are buying different things.
